A NOVEL APPLICATION IS PRESENTED FOR THE USE OF FABRY-PEROT INTERFEROMETRY AS AN ANGULAR SENSOR. THIS IS PARTICULARLY ATTRACTIVE BECAUSE THE ANGULAR SENSITIVITY OF A FABRY-PEROT INTERFEROMETER IS PROPORTIONAL TO THE WIDTH OF THE ETALON.
