Abstract

A laboratory-scale technology demonstrator of an active THz imager is proposed. This imager will penetrate brownout conditions and detect obstacles covertly. The demonstrator combines a transceiver and a image rendering system with sufficient resolution to image objects in brownout conditions up to 100 m away within a fixed field of view. The image refresh rate is greater than 1 Hz with an adjustable propagation range.
