Abstract

EOSPACE will develop and build a prototype Ultra-Compact and Robust High Performance RF-Photonic Module for use in MDA/Military High Dynamic Range Radar applications. The compact module will achieve a two-fold (2x) reduction in size, weight and power while maintaining high performance operations over extended temperature ranges. A unique EOSPACE extended temperature, and high dynamic range modulator, forms the core of the RF-Photonic Module for use with high-power single line laser sources. The module is designed to perform in the harsh environmental conditions that MDA/Military systems operate in. The module will provide improved link performance for MDA/Military Radar systems in terms of Spur Free Dynamic Range (SFDR) and efficiency.
