Abstract

The development of a non-contact, high throughput, high sensitivity, and low cost corrosion detection system is critical to the U.S. Naval aviation fleet. The objective of this research and development (R & D) project is to continue progress towards establishing a novel corrosion detection system that utilizes both infrared (IR) light polarization and IR imaging, thus enabling corrosion detection of metal surfaces beneath paint layers
