Corvid Technologies is proposing to develop an armor solution that would provide protection to MDA solid rocket motor systems against the standard NATO bullet and fragment impact threats and lower energy threat that may also be threat hazards in the field. Corvid has developed a proven armor development methodology that has been successful in solving similar ballistic protection needs from concept development to hardware solution. We reduce development cycle time and testing costs by evaluating innovative armor systems numerically using state-of-the-art penetration dynamics modeling capability to capture the rate sensitive behavior of the materials proposed before building prototypes and physically testing them. The use of our methodology will lead to light-weight, multi-hit armor solutions that meet the key performance parameters define.
