Abstract

Corvid Technologies is pleased to offer this SBIR Phase I proposal. In the proposed effort, we will supplement existing experimental and engineering methodologies to assess the aerodynamics of fragments generated during missile defense intercepts. Our approach utilizes an innovative combination of high-fidelity computational techniques for continuum and rarefied flows, high-performance computing resources, and advanced solution-automation processes. Using this first-principles-based methodology, we will develop a framework to generate high-fidelity databases of fragment aerodynamic properties over a wide range of flow conditions.
