Abstract

AFRL/RWGI seeks algorithms to maximally exploit the capabilities of emerging multi-resolution foveal sensors that can flexibly allocate their resolution to focus on multiple targets of interest without sacrificing overall situational awareness. SET is pleased to offer extensible solutions based on our proven capabilities to automatically detect, acquire, and track multiple targets and decades of collective research in real-time sensing and active vision by our talented staff. Teamed with Nova Sensors, SET will join these algorithms with the emerging hardware architecture of Nova s proven Variable Acuity Superpixel Imaging (VASI) multi-resolution foveal camera systems. The team will demonstrate these capabilities in a flight test of a foveal camera augmented with focus of attention algorithms in this Phase II effort.
