Abstract

It is proposed to analyze and trade off alternative laser technologies for development of an integrated transmitter capable of emission in the UV for bio detection and 3-5 m and 8-12 m bands for chemical detection. Novel conceptual sensor designs for a variety of deployments will be developed as an aid in prescribing laser performance. Important laser and sensor component development will be identified and new solutions will be proposed to be carried out in the Phase II program.
