Abstract

Coherent processing of signals from multiple sensors will be considered for improving Army ELINT and ESM system sensitivity. The use of higher order statistics and exploitation of the cyclostationarity of most signals of interest will be emphasized. Several examples from recent references and a cyclic spectrum approach to detecting a sine wave in noise are discussed. Reliable detection using two sensors at -15 dB SNR is shown, which implies a significant improvement in sensitivity.
