This Army SBIR program is on research and exploration for solutions to high power W-Band amplifiers for use in directed energy (DE) weapons that are more affordable and compact and have additional desirable features including low standby power and instant-on capabilities. In addition the ability to produce such amplifiers in relatively large quantity should be of additional use and value. InnoSys has been researching and exploring in a systematic, complete and careful manner reasonable possible solutions to achieving the objective and goal of a relatively affordable, low standby power, instant turn on, compact, high volume manufacturing capacity system solution that meets the requirements needed for directed energy weapons. Two extremely promising and encouraging approaches capable of achieving high output power with instant-on capability and no or very little standby power at W-band for directed energy applications will be further researched and developed during Phase II and then implemented in Phase II of this SBIR program.
