Abstract

The DDS and other tactical networks are highly dynamic and contain an unknown number of data sources at any point in time. The number of data sources on these networks is growing at a much faster pace than our ability to discover them and process the information they provide into usable information. Our Phase I result, the Bayesian Optimization Battle Command Analysis Tool (BOBCAT), address this by providing techniques to 1) dynamically sort and filter through information on DDS nodes, 2) turn that data into cognitive information, and 3) discover new data sources automatically. Our approach builds on DAC s Agent-based Intelligence Platform (AIP) which is being used to perform data mining and predictive analysis in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. In Phase II of this effort we will build a prototype system, get it in the hands of our Warfighter partners (2nd ACR), and gain instant feedback as the software prepares for deployment over the next year.
