Abstract

Single frequency high power laser transmitters have been considered to be an enabling technology for MDA s imaging heterodyne Ladar systems. Current state-of-art technologies can not provide all features of high power and efficiency, compactness, narrow linewidth, super frequency and power stability, low noise, and high extinction ratio at the same time. PolarOnyx proposes, for the first time, a high power (>500 W) single frequency (500 W and > 100 kW peak power), noise, size, and cost. A 100 W tabletop experiment has been demonstrated in Phase I time frame for proof of concept. A compact prototype will be delivered at the end of Phase II.
