Abstract

The objective of the phase 1 and 2 SBIR Topic 04-005, Adaptive Bandwidth High Power RF Antenna program is to develop miniaturized, high power antenna over the customer desired frequency range of 100 MHz to 95 GHz, with typical bandwidths of 2:1, up to 10:1 with a high gain of 12dBi (minimum) and operating under high powers of possible 2° Megawatts at the lower frequencies and 100 Kilowatts at the millimeter wave frequencies. At certain frequencies and operational scenarios the ranges to the desired targets maybe small and thus operation in the near non-radiating field maybe reality. Another major program objective is the achievement of high operation power effects even in the non-radiating near field. The radiating process will be optimized, as well a achieving a reduction of the near field effect.
