Abstract

The objective of this project is to produce an Enhanced Wireless Wide Area Networked Precision Geolocation system for the high-performance real-time ARDEC Combat Decision Aids System (CDAS) for the Future Combat System (FCS). This Intelligent Precision geolocation system provides precision interruption-free position for multiple tracking of personnel, robots, UGV and other combat platforms, in complicated environments and terrains. The geolocation system components have been integrated with CDAS for FCS, Objective Force Warrior, Land Warrior, Homeland Defense applications, smart automobile, and intelligent transportation system, etc. During this Phase II project, the geolocation system will utilize the AGNC coremicro Palm Navigator with radar and object detection systems, and cellular networks and wireless ad hoc networks to perform communication and wireless location at the same time, with improved geolocation accuracy, and increased tracking area coverage. A suite of information fusion algorithms based on integration of multi-sensor fusion and wireless communications will be demonstrated. A Networked Multi-Robot DEMO System is realized by using the coremicro Palm Navigators.
