Abstract

EOSPACE proposes to develop a Compact Array of Analog Modulators and Integrated Laser Source (CAAMILS) module for use in a wide-bandwidth analog ladar scene projection system. Under Phase I, EOSPACE used its unique, exceptionally low loss, lithium niobate (LiNbO3) integrated electro-optic waveguide technology to fabricate a practical and cost-effective, yet state-of-the-art, ultra-low-loss, high-extinction-ratio, integrated optical modulator. Under Phase II, the modulator will be integrated in an array format and combined with a stable laser source and the associated control and driver circuitry to form the full CAAMILS module.
