Abstract

The proposed work aims to develop, characterize and demonstrate a novel and highly innovative hybrid material system for lightweight, linerless all-composite tanks used in the mixing, storage and transport of harsh chemicals. The proposed effort will focus on the development and characterization of the novel material system. Tests will be performed to ensure chemical compatibility, mechanical performance and compatibility with low-cost tank fabrication approaches. Prototype tanks will be fabricated using the materials developed in the program, and tested to validate performance.
