The Portable Universal Ground Processing Unit (PUGPU) is a common core set of hardware and software able to support TT&C signal acquisition and processing requirements across a wide variety of Military, Civil and Commercial Satellites. Phase I activities focused on defining the core set of mission requirements and developing a design based upon open hardware and software architectures and current digital signal processing technology. During the proposed Phase II activities, RT Logic will fabricate and test an engineering prototype of the PUGPU. Specifically, a Frequency Conversion Subsystem is developed to support I/O from both SGLS/USB and SHF frequency bands as well as Spectral Display/Analysis functions. A Digital Baseband Process Subsystem is also developed, based upon RT Logic's Telemetrix XL unit which is being fielded to support the SCNC contract, and extended to include additional CCSDS Space Link Extension (SLE) support. A software environment to provide local/remote control and monitoring of the PUGPU system components as well as an interface to COTS TT&C packages is implemented.
