Abstract

Pacific-Sierra Research Corporation proposes to develop a prototype of an Avionic Prototyping Tool (APT) as defined in the System/Segment specification produced during the SBIR Phase I. The APT prototype willl be a Windows based, Computer Aided Design (CAD), expert system for avionic architecture design. The APT will offer an evaluation capability that allows an engineering team to couple the APT outputs to a real-time flight simulator for pilot-in-the-loop simulation and evaluation. The APT prototype will also include appropriate interfaces and file translation facilities so the many existing simulation and engineering design packages integrate readily. The APT is divided into three elements: These are: -- Requirements Parse, -- Candidate Generation, and -- Candidate Evaluation
