Abstract

The objective of the Reconfigurable, Real-time RWR Simulator Phase II effort is to develop, test, and demonstrate a cost effective, modular, high-fidelity, reconfigurable, real-time simulator of radar warning receivers. An open architecture, multi-processor design for the simulator is proposed which will allow individual EW processing functions to be evaluated in the context of full EW systems operations in dense, real-time mission signal environments. Phase I focused on identifying the requirements and the key elements of the simulation. The Phase II program includes a final design, Amherst Receiver Processor System (ARPS) hardware and software additions and capability demonstrations to validate the high fidelity simulation of the AN/ALR-69 and An/ALR-56M.
