Abstract

Techno-Sciences (TSI) proposes to design and implement an Automated Aircrew Scheduling System. The Scheduling System will incorporate constraint directed reasoning with stochastic operations research ideas, and will leverage existing software from another resource allocation system. Contraint directed reasoning allows for the explict representation of the relationship between scheduling constraints and unsatisfied (mission) demand. It also provides a mechanism for relaxing active constraints in a rational way. The actual scheduling algorithms we use are Dynamic List Policies and are motivated by the stochastic nature of the availability and demand models.
