Abstract

In this proposal we will build on previously developed technologies to build and test an infrared conformal window sensor system. Previously we have demonstrated the ability to manufacture the components needed for this system. In this work, we will use that ability to manufacture a conformal window using stitching interferometry (with subcontractor QED technologies) for a measurement feedback permitting higher precision (lower form error) conformal windows. In addition, we propose to hire a subcontractor to design a full through imaging sensor system to fully demonstrate Optimaxs ability to manufacture working IR optical components for a conformal window sensor system.Our major technical objective is to build a conformal sensor system to demonstrate and test system performance. This objective will be accomplished by the following steps: 1. Design system with constraint of simple corrector optics, 2. Test and manufacture precision conformal window using stitching interferometry metrology, 3. Build and assemble visible sensor test bench, and 4. Determine correlation between conformal window surface form error and system performance.
