SI2 Technologies, Inc. (SI2) will enable guided medium caliber (e.g. 25mm - 57mm) munitions to provide significant kill capability against swarming threats at reduced cost. By combining our innovative low profile, conformal, high gain end-fire array technology with proven RF seeker technology, we will develop an RF seeker capability that can be integrated with any medium caliber projectile. SI2s approach is to build on prior aperture design research to develop an innovative conformal, high gain end fire array antenna to support long range RF seekers with improved discrimination. In Phase I, SI2 will evaluate various end fire antenna architectures and we will model and optimize one or more downselected antenna types. We will leverage extensive munitions environment experience to develop a manufacturing and integration approach to ensure the seeker antenna is capable of withstanding the platform environments. SI2 will also validate our design via fabrication and test of a demonstrator array aperture and demonstrate achievable seeker performance via link analyses. In Phase II, we will refine our Phase I design to develop a high fidelity EDM seeker antenna system targeted for a specific platform, and perform testing and analysis, potentially including live fire testing, to demonstrate TRL 6.
