CAMX Power proposes to demonstrate a novel Li alloying anode architecture implemented in high specific energy Li-ion cells employing CAMX Power's high capacity cathode material CAM-7TM and a broad temperature range electrolyte capable of meeting naval aircraft performance and life targets. In Phase I, we will carry out initial system demonstration and anode architecture optimization in coin cells and then demonstrate that the proposed system can meet performance requirements in pouch cells. Additional cycle and calendar life testing will be carried out during the Phase I Option suggesting further directions for optimization of system components and scale-up to multi-Ah cells during Phase II.
