Abstract

BlueRISCs proposed solution takes the form of a binary-level toolkit that provides a fundamentally new approach to enable the extraction of a vulnerability-focused architectural model as well as an interactive security-focused visualization framework from an embedded software binary without any source-code knowledge. It is based on a conceptual framework that is able to identify and model external interactions as well as their impact on the underlying operations within the embedded application. The underlying approach is architecture agnostic and the proposed binary-level toolkit will support a wide range of embedded architectures.
