Abstract

ASSETTs Architecture Assessment Tool (AAAT), with its imbedded Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) based framework, will be used to provide an assessment of NAVAIRs Common Control System (CCS). AAAT contains the functional capabilities required to perform objective and repeatable assessments, a validated architecture assessment model, an instantiation of the Navy Open Architecture Assessment Tool, an initial model for interoperability assessment, and a model for providing system trade studies. We will demonstrate applicability of our previous work on AAAT development (reference framework, model, metrics, toolsets) to the current CCS (Common Control System) Build 2 Final Qualification Test (FQT) architecture as well as to future 3rd party deliverables under the CCS program. ASSETT will expand the AHP to generate a quantitative, qualitative and graphical assessment of the current state of the CCS Architecture, data model(s) and DODAF exhibits. The result will provide a reference framework, repeatable methodology and an exportable toolset that can be employed to assess the state of conformance/compliance of current CCS Architecture as defined by the Unmanned Air System Control System Architecture (UCS). This also has direct applicability to OSD, the Navy and NAVAIR in building the capability to successfully perform as Lead System Integrators (LSI) across a programs life-cycle.
