This proposal details the design of key MMIC components architected in a phased array antenna to allow WGS compliance with the MIL-STD-180/164 specification. The proposal draws upon the extensive design experience with GaAs and GaN of Custom MMIC, coupled with the substantial system knowledge of Ball Aerospace. The proposal details how this knowledge of the key system parameters allows us to address such a complex and difficult system with a solution that can be fielded. The technical aspect keys on the need for isolation between transmit and receive in a full duplex system. Each component in the chain will be analyzed and modified to provide the necessary filtering for success. Key aspects of the design have been demonstrated by measurements on an X-band PA with RX notch and the necessary changes for full compliance detailed.
