Abstract

Proposal describes an open software framework that aims to simplify the development of complex geospatial applications. It will simplify the development of applications needing a robust plug-in infrastructure by providing developer friendly APIs for plug-in management and plug-in interaction. The framework will provide capabilities for displaying remote graphical user interfaces with a native look-and-feel. Approach leverages state-of-the-art advances in software architecture, as well as proven processes, to design and develop efficient, maintainable, and reliable software for missile defense operations planning with embedded training, including missile defense threat engagement operations management planning, operations contingency planning, and training of operators to execute those plans. Interoperability with existing and developing command and control systems will be a key element of enVentions software requirements, architecture and design.
