Abstract

Solid State Scientific Corporation (SSSC) is pleased to propose a Phase I SBIR program to develop a unique technique for imaging through atmospheric turbulence. The proposed idea combines the use of specially designed hardware and associated algorithms to yield improved performance over current systems. The proposed solution will improve upon one of the traditional techniques for imaging through atmospheric turbulence, the so-called, Lucky Look technique. As a proof of concept, the proposed technique will be demonstrated using a telescope representative of SYERS, a high altitude, LOng Range Oblique Photography imaging sensor.
