Abstract

ABSTRACT: Oceanit proposes to reduce employee exposure to hazardous noise during Blast Cleaning Room (BCR) and Blast Cabinet (BC) abrasive media blasting operations below OSHA 8-hour Time Weighted Average without increasing ergonomic stress on the operator. This will be done using an engineering noise control approach. BENEFIT: Benefits of the proposed effort would be compliance for government and commercial entities with OSHA standards for noise exposure in blast operations.
