Abstract

ABSTRACT: The objective of effort is to research and develop a Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) service-based capability to meet the Air Operations Center s (AOC) requirements for increased situational awareness with respect to the GPS signal environment. The PNT Constraint Service (PNT-CS) shall provide PNT constraints based on jamming, atmospheric/solar activity, and GPS metrics through a service-based design to support the mission planning and optimization process. BENEFIT: Planning global air mobility and air refueling missions requires complex, ongoing analyses to understand the cascading effects that dynamic operational constraints have on ongoing and planned missions. GPS-based PNT data have a profound effect on these mission and the solution provided in this research will allow mission planners to understand the impact that GPS Constraints have on current and future missions.
