Abstract

JET PROCESS CORPORATION PROPOSED TO FURTHER DEVELOP ITS NOVEL, PATENTED JET VAPOR DEPOSITION (JVD) COATING TECHNOLOGY TO MAKE IT CAPABLE OF COST EFFECTIVELY DISPLACING ELECTROPLATING AND SIMILAR METAL FINISH METHODS IN A WIDE RANGE OF INDUSTRIAL METAL COATING APPLICATIONS. JVD IS A CLEAN, DRY PROCESS WITH PRODUCES MINIMAL PROCESS WASTE AND NO TOXIC EFFLUENTS. IT IS A STRAIGHTFORWARD TECHNIQUE BASED ON THE USE OF SIMPLE, MECHANICAL PUMPS, WITH LOW CAPITAL AND OPERATING COSTS. JVD HAS PROVEN ITS STRENGTHS IN SMALL SCALE, "HIGH TECH" APPLICATIONS, PRODUCING HIGH QUALITY CU, AU, AG, AND AL COATINGS. IN PHASE I, THEY PROPOSE TO EXPAND JVD'S CAPABILITIES TO INCLUDE PROCESSING OF MOST WIDELY USED ELECTROPLATING METALS AND COATING OF LARGER PARTS AT HIGHER VOLUME RATES. THIS WILL ENABLE THE PROCESS TO COMPETE WITH ELECTROPLATING IN NUMEROUS INDUSTRIAL MARKETS, WHICH THEY WILL IDENTIFY. IN PHASE II AND PHASE III, THEY WILL WORK WITH INDUSTRIAL COLLABORATORS AND CUSTOMERS TO DESIGN, BUILD AND MARKET COMMERCIAL JVD METAL COATING SYSTEMS.
